How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your SpeakLike account directly from the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the SpeakLike app on your device.
  2. Tap on Settings (gear icon) in the bottom navigation or profile menu.
  3. Scroll down to the Account section.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Read the confirmation message and tap Confirm Deletion to proceed.

Your account will be queued for deletion immediately after confirmation.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Account information — your email address, display name, profile picture, and authentication credentials.
  • Learning progress — all lesson completion records, exercise attempts, and progress tracking data.
  • Scores and statistics — all exercise scores, accuracy metrics, XP points, and level data.
  • Achievements and badges — all earned achievement badges and milestone records.
  • Streaks — your current streak, longest streak, and daily activity history.
  • Daily goals — your daily goal settings and completion history.

Deletion Timeline

Once you confirm account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days. During this period:

  • Your account will be immediately deactivated and you will be logged out.
  • You will no longer be able to sign in with your existing credentials.
  • Your data will be queued for permanent deletion from all our systems, including backups.

Account deletion is irreversible. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you wish to use SpeakLike again after deletion, you will need to create a new account.

Subscription Cancellation

Deleting your SpeakLike account does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it separately before deleting your account:

  • iOS: Open Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > SpeakLike > Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Open Google Play > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > SpeakLike > Cancel subscription.

Alternative: Request Deletion via Email

If you are unable to delete your account from the app (for example, if you cannot log in), you can request account deletion by emailing us at:

support@speaklike.app

Please include the email address associated with your SpeakLike account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
